casa sacramento: Light of hope

Hosted inside the historic downtown Elks Tower, this Art Deco–inspired Speakeasy event brought together the Sacramento community in support of children in foster care and the volunteer advocates who uplift them. Guests enjoyed a premium whiskey tasting in the tower’s former Top o’ the Town Bar, savoring Weller bourbon flights and sweeping views of the City of Trees.

Hosted by Big West Wine Fest in partnership with Friends of the Petaluma River, this new festival brought together minimal intervention cider, beer, and co-ferments from Sonoma County and beyond. The Wildlife Care Association’s Second Annual Wildlife Baby Shower was a wild success, bringing together nature lovers of all ages to celebrate and support local wildlife. Guests explored behind-the-scenes with facility tours, got creative with kids’ crafts, enjoyed a special book reading, and met a stunning guest ambassador: a Harris's hawk! With face painting, merch sales, and more, there was something for everyone. I loved capturing the excitement and community spirit of the day, and I’m so grateful to be part of WCA's mission to protect and rehabilitate our wild neighbors.

Thoughtful wine, sweet treats, and tiny tattoos...for the girls. Ever After Wine, Elk Grove’s newest wine bar, is the creation of longtime friends Nadia and Kelly, and their Galentine’s event brought the community together in the best way. @sillylittlethingsink set up a flash tattoo pop-up, and Nadia crafted a special wine and cookie pairing featuring incredible treats from @halfbakedgoodness (crème brûlée cookies...are you kidding?). I loved capturing the energy of the night and being part of this space. When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me here on Saturdays pouring wine!

It was a true delight to wander through the farm, savoring the fresh, locally sourced dishes crafted by Chef Liza Hinman of The Spinster Sisters.
